POP Yachts, headquartered out of Sarasota, FL but operating across 40+ states, formally announced on August 30th that it will help fund the ongoing effort aimed at cleaning up our oceans that is being spearheaded by fellow Florida-based organization 4ocean.4ocean was founded in 2017 to combat the massive amount of garbage currently in and being added to our oceans. 4ocean sells bracelets and other products made from recycled materials and uses a portion of those proceeds to fund the cleanup of our oceans and coastlines."As a business, our job is to put more boats on the water. More boaters inevitably leads to more trash accumulating in our oceans. We have a duty to find ways to reduce that footprint.", said Nick Owens, co-owner of POP Yachts. As of the time of this release, 4ocean employees have removed 6.3 million pounds of garbage from our oceans and coastlines solely through the sale of its 4ocean bracelets and products.POP Yachts began its support of 4ocean with a one-time purchase of 500 bracelets for distribution to to its employees, buyers, and sellers."We plan on continuing our support with an even larger purchase in 2020 and beyond.", stated Owens. "4ocean is supporting our business by keeping our ocean waters and coastal environments clean for generations of future boaters, so we're going to support their business."4ocean offers a different bracelet each month, enabling its customers to shop for a bracelet whose direct cause is near and dear to their hearts or to order a new bracelet each month, indefinitely supporting the cause of trash cleanup from our waterways.Learn more about the 4ocean missionShop 4ocean products
