Jenny WhitenackCustomer Service and Quality Control SpecialistResides: Watertown, NYStarted with POP Yachts: February 2012Q. Have you spent much time around boats in your lifetime?I grew up in Watertown, NY near the Thousand Islands, and we spent our summers boating and enjoying time on the St. Lawrence River. Q. What do you do for POP Yachts? I handle the quality control of the listings to make sure that all the published information on a listing is accurate. I also do customer feedback, and make sure people are happy with the job we're doing, and if they're not, I find out what happened and get them to the right person to fix the issue. Q. What do you think gives POP Yachts the competitive advantage? Being out there and visible on the Internet. Anywhere you go, you'll find a POP Yachts boat, being that we're on 160-plus websites. People are finding us in many, many different avenues. Q. How have you seen POP Yachts grow over the past three years? Since I've been with POP Yachts, the number of listings and number of people who have gotten involved, it's grown exponentially. It's been very interesting to watch it grow and change in such positive ways. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Q. What is it about POP Yachts as a company that keeps you on board? The genuineness. The leaders just infuse me with the positive attitude of: Surround yourself with the best people, and we will be the best. Also, my son, Zac, is a major focus in my life. Having a job with built in schedule flexibility was and is so important and has given me the ability to always be involved in all of his activities (swimming, drama, music, church or whatever) in high school and even now in college. Q. What would people be surprised to learn about you?I received my bachelor of music education from College of Wooster, Ohio, and taught private music lessons for the past 27 years. Q. What instrument do you play?My real musical passion is handbells. I've been the director of handbells at my church since 1989, director of a semi-professional community group since 2005 and soloist/clinician for several area events. I'm also an active member of a local steel drum ensemble and perform with the small ensemble playing on the beach (whenever possible) and local resorts in the Thousand Islands.
