Gordon WilsonLicensed Internet Marketing SpecialistTerritory: HeadquartersResides: Bradenton, FLYears with POP Yachts: 2-plusQ. Why were you attracted to working with POP Yachts?I was in business for 38 years, and I've worked for entrepreneurs for years. As soon as I heard what they were trying to do, I felt that it was really up my ally. Q. How so?I enjoy working for small businesses trying to build a business - that really excited me. In the past 27 months I haven't lost that excitement about what we're trying to do here.Q. How have you seen POP Yachts change over the past two years? We have evolved over time and it's really exciting to see the company grow they way it's grown. It's a team effort, and I think that's wonderful.Q. What is it that sets POP Yachts apart from the competition? The software has helped to make us more efficient and differentiate us from the competition. We're trying to redefine the way the business has been done, traditionally. Q. What about the staff? We demand that people be ethical and that they work as team members in each department to get the job done A to Z, because that's what it takes.Q. What do you like to do when you're not working? I'm a big history buff, 1600-1800, especially. There's a lot of lessons to be learned from that time. I enjoy traveling and learning about different things. I like the arts; I'm a member of the Ringling Museum of Art, and have been for the past decade. I get that from my mother. I love working with plants and gardens. I've come to like Trop Rock out at The Sandbox.Q. What are you most proud of?I have a daughter who is working towards becoming a medical doctor, she's applied to nine schools, so we're not sure where she's going yet. She had leukemia as a child, and it's really a miracle. We're blessed that things worked out well for her.
