We all know that the worldwide web is, well, worldwide, but just how far is its reach? We took a peek at POP Yachts' statistics and were surprised to see we had visitors from 191 different countries during the month of August. That means potential buyers from nearly every country in the world have come to POP Yachts to find the vessel of their dreams.Taking a closer look at the analytics made us wonder about the folks who were searching our site. We saw a visitor from Equatorial Guinea on the western coast of Africa. And off the eastern coast of Africa, we have another friend in Madagascar, who perhaps was looking for a way to get off the small island country. We couldn't help but wonder about our visitor from the rolling hills of Montserrat, in the Piedmont region in northern Italy. Does the mountainous terrain have him or her dreaming of setting sail in the Mediterranean Sea? Whoever it is, he or she was a motivated buyer, having checked out 15 different pages on the POP Yachts website. We have seen many of these international visitors turn into buyers. In fact, 70 percent of our vessel sales wind up in countries outside of the United States, like this 2007 Hydra-Sports 2900VX Walkaround that recently sold from Florida and headed for its new home in Russia. We have multiple visitors from countries like Gibraltar, Yemen, Sudan and even landlocked Armenia. Some of our most regular visitors come from Australia and our northern neighbor Canada, where we get more than 7,300 visitors every month. With the largest Internet marketing reach of any yacht brokerage in the world and data feeds that list our sellers' boats on more than 160 boating and yachting sites worldwide, perhaps we shouldn't be surprised by the variety of visitors we get. But we had to give a shout out to our buddies in countries like Laos and Kurdistan. If you're reading this from one of those countries, write us a note in the comments below, and we'll send you a free POP Yachts t-shirt!
